Shot in his countryside hometown, As I Am is the feature debut from writer director Guy Davies.

 

After picking up a dozen awards on the festival circuit As I Am received a national theatrical release in the UK in over 50 cinemas under its former title Philophobia. Following the theatrical release As I Am sold to Vertical Entertainment and Sky TV in the UK/Ireland where it released in March 2021. Followed by a sale to HBO for Europe and Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment acquired rights to the USA where it received a cinema release in summer 2021 followed by VOD in October 2021.
